This shows a basic lack of competence from an engineering perspective, and it’s completely dishonest to those who think that they’re sharing their data privately. People can still find out where you’re catching though by going to the desktop app, navigating to a location with the map, clicking: fish report, and seeing your post there with a joke of a message saying “location hidden” after you’ve already navigated to it from the map. Someone should teach this person how to better interact with nature.I mean just from an app perspective I think it’s not good at all. But there's a bad way and a better way to do it. I know it can sound silly when someone is concerned about hurting a fish while practicing the hobby of hooking fish by the mouth and yanking them out of the water. Perhaps the person simply doesn't know, or doesn't really care too much about hurting a fish. This is a fun catch on a slow day but it's nothing to brag about and might as well just eyeball it at this point. I'm not saying this is illegal but it goes to show a lack of respect and general understanding of fisherman etiquette. I grew up with one of my biggest fears being the game warden catching you doing something illegal, so I've always been on the up and up.
